OverviewThe Business Development Executive is responsible for generating new business by following up on inbound marketing leads, and outbound account research and prospecting. BDE will be accountable for qualifying prospect needs, positioning appropriate TIBCO products and services, and developing strong prospect interest via phone and online contact. What You'll Do
Meeting, and exceeding where possible, monthly, quarterly and annual quota of qualified opportunities
Work closely with Inside and Field Sales Representatives on territory, account, and contact strategy to meet sales goals.
Provide prompt phone/email follow up to specific Account Based Marketing Leads and properly document and track results in salesforce.com
Effectively forecast quarterly results
Maintain a minimum level of activity (50-60 activities/day)
Build and maintain knowledge base to become an expert on TIBCO products and services
Utilize CRM to track all pertinent information related to the opportunity and effectively manage territory.
Who You Are
Excellent verbal (via telephone) and written(via email) communication skills
Strong listening skills and presentation skills
Strategic sales capabilities which support selling to VP or Director level of medium-large businesses, balanced with tactical skills for a fast-paced, high volume lead follow-up environment
Ability to build strong rapport, establish trust and credibility through a consultative approach, and balance assertive sales follow-up without being overly aggressive
Self-starter who can effectively work within a strong team culture
Time Management skills -- able to manage multiple priorities effectively
One to two years solid technology or related direct sales background with proven history of quota over-achievement strongly preferred
Experience of positioning business software applications and/or web-based software very valuable
Proven ability to setting appointments via phone
Highly effective at web-based product demonstrations desirable
