Siemens Digital Industries Software is opening the new position of a Business Development Consultant and seeks a highly motivated & business-oriented technologist with the capability and desire to make a significant contribution to the simulation and test business segment’s Electronics Thermal business by defining, coordinating and leading the implementation of focused business development activities.

This individual will play a key role within the Business Development organization, contributing to and promoting technical and industrial Go-To-Market activities for the company’s zone and country sales and presales organizations and customers. Within the Business Development group he/she will strongly network to leverage the full ecosystem of sales support infrastructure on a global basis, including global account executives and portfolio sales professionals, corporate and business segment marketing organizations, industry solutions teams.

The role requires strong Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software & electronics thermal management related experience relevant to the business segment’s product portfolio, including Simcenter Flotherm & Simcenter FLOEFD software and Simcenter Micred hardware.

A thorough engineering background, excellent analytical capabilities, and strong multi-level communication skills are required to articulate the value of our solutions to zone and country leaders, sales and portfolio executives, application engineers, channel partners and customers.

A minimum 2 years+ industrial experience is preferred.

Major responsibilities of this position will include;

  • Plan, conduct and execute global Electronics Thermal best practice sales enablement activities, including the generation of presentation material, product/solution demos, educational/on-boarding material.

  • Deliver best-in-class presentations with impact to the field sales and support organizations, as well as focused named accounts as required.

  • Work closely and coordinate sales enablement activities with global sales teams for consistent actions and communications.

  • Support the presales organization with specific sales and technical campaigns

  • Support presales in specific sales situations with named accounts with effective message delivery, benchmark support and coordinate with the business segment’s product lines if required.

  • Work closely with product managers to effectively communicate latest enhancements and application coverage

Required skills

  • Entrepreneur that can sell his/her enthusiasm to stakeholders on all levels and create confidence in MAD solutions

  • Strong networker.

  • Solid background in CAD/CAE/Electronics technologies and knowledge of the CAD/CAE/Electronics ecosystem (vendors, competition).

  • Ability to effectively transfer product capabilities into industry and application specific communication that highlights the value proposition of a solution; communicate sales enablement activities accordingly.

  • Effective communication skills and related experience in all major global cultures (AMZ, EMEA, APAC).

  • Capture and communicate customer & market requirements and competitive intelligence back to business development management

  • Coordinate all activities with stakeholders across the organization for consistent positioning and messaging

  • Plan and execute global partner enablement and roll out long-term partnership program plans.

  • Coordinate and drive customer and partner relationships to collect required reference for the sales community

Qualification and Experience

  • BS degree (or equivalent) in Electrical- / Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or related field or higher.

  • MS degree is preferred.

  • 2+ years of working experience in the field of CFD/CAE. Preferably with Flotherm and/or FLOEFD.

  • Thermal Characterization experience, preferably with Simcenter Micred hardware.

  • Project Management experience.

  • Ability to travel, mainly in the USA and partially globally if required

  • MBA degree would be ideal.
