This Center is home to a group of 15-20 faculty and Master’s statisticians with extensive involvement and long experience in the hospital’s program of pediatric research. The Senior Biostatistician masters level candidate will consult and collaborate with investigators on the design, conduct, analysis, and reporting of research projects which may include laboratory, interventional and observational studies.

The Biostatistician III/IV will be responsible for:

  • Developing study design and analysis plans, including sample size calculations and randomization schemes

  • Statistical analysis of research studies

  • Preparing organized and clear summarizes of analysis results

  • Writing statistical methods sections for reports and manuscripts

  • Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure successful completion of statistical deliverables

To qualify, a candidate must have:

  • Master's degree in biostatistics, statistics, epidemiology or a closely related quantitative field

  • 6-10 years of experience in a research setting

  • Proficiency in a statistical programming package such as SAS, R or Stata

  • Knowledge of longitudinal methods and clinical trials methodology is a plus.

  • Strong skills in data analysis and the effective presentation of results

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
