The Cigna Group B2B Marketing & Campaign Specialist, PBM Solutions - Remote in Boston, Massachusetts

POSITION SUMMARY

We are currently seeking a PBM Solutions Marketing Specialist (Lead Analyst) aligned to Evernorth, Cigna's Health Services business segment, with a focus on driving adoption of Express Scripts PBM solutions offerings. This role requires business-to-business marketing execution, message development (platform and selling messages), product marketing, and campaign development experience. The ideal candidate will exhibit proven ability of writing copy and content development and connecting product and sales initiatives to enterprise goals, with specific experience working cross-functionally to enable sales teams to deliver growth.

Candidate will partner with their leader and capability centers in content development, differentiated market messaging, and overall marketing communications support in collaboration with product owners, sales, account management, and other cross-functional partners. To succeed in this role the candidate must possess strong ability to navigate change in a complex matrixed environment, develop strong relationships, and translate business objectives into sound B2B and occasionally B2B2C marketing messages and plans informed by stakeholder insights that are differentiated from the competition.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop a strong understanding of client and buyers’ unique challenges and opportunities and position solutions to address key problems to solve.

  • Work with Sr. Advisor to build and execute end-to-end business-to-business marketing campaigns, projects and programs through strategic positioning, market messaging, client-facing sales enablement tools and other B2B marketing assets by leaning into solution differentiators that matter to the buyer at different stages of their buying lifecycle.

  • Content Development: Own solution core messages, sales enablement/assets, thought leadership and/or brand marketing content. Develop and maintain solutions assets, emails and PowerPoint presentations; executes on product-based campaigns, communications and other mechanisms designed to stimulate interest in PBM Solutions offerings. Requires excellent writing, strong PowerPoint design, and superior project management skills.

  • Differentiated Market Messaging: Develop and execute on meaningful and aligned market messages. Leverages business knowledge, research, and insights to optimize market messages and communications campaigns. Supports the development and update of key communications, including presentations, collateral, and proposal copy, where differentiated market messages are critical to achieving sales goals.

  • Marketing Communications Support: Manages to completion marketing campaigns that impact or support profit margin goals within expected timelines. Works closely with cross-functional groups such as Division Marketing, Brand, Creative Services, Field Communications, Public Relations, Web content, social media teams, and other groups to drive results. Translate complex and diverse subject matter into compelling ideas and messages that address client needs.

  • Build effective launch plans and strong value proposition articulation and tools ( show don’t tell ) to enable sales to be successful at driving solution adoption, and identifying relevant connections across Evernorth capabilities.

  • Collaborate with peers to manage department/team priorities and work flow to support collective business needs.

IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL OFFER:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, with emphasis in marketing or relevant field preferred, Master's is desirable

  • 3+ years of marketing and campaign execution experience, must have business to business experience, direct to consumer experience is desirable.

  • Strong emphasis in writing and content development

  • Skilled in influencing others and creating accountability to achieve Evernorth business goals and marketing objectives

  • Ability to understand and grasp marketing strategy and approach, leverage data and insights to inform recommended approach, link business need to action, understand how to utilize digital tactics/channels to execute marketing strategy.

  • Excellent storyteller with an ability to create simple and differentiated messages and apply to marketing tactics.

  • Health care industry experience preferred.

  • Digital B2B and social media B2B experience required

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills: role does require writing and editing of market-facing collateral and communications.

  • Critical thinker and creative problem solver, who exercises good judgment in resolving difficult situations, prioritizes and can balance needs with enterprise objectives

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment, and juggle multiple, sometimes competing, priorities and requirements

  • Previous experience working with and briefing internal creative teams or outside agencies.

  • Experience executing strategy within timeline, budget and quality standards

  • Travel required occasionally (less than 10%).
