Associate, Distribution Strategy - Real Estate Planning, Boston, MA

  • The Distribution Strategy and Delivery Team is responsible for establishing strategy and delivering investments in the Retail Branch & ATM network including branch openings, relocations, and renovation projects.

  • The cross functional team is responsible from capital planning, though site selection, architectural design, construction, and operational implementation.

  • This role supports the central planning function through leveraging our workflow tool and developing excel reports to optimize our processes, analyze data, and communicate findings and insights to enable delivering the multi-year investment plan.

  • This role is a hybrid position located in Boston, MA

Essential Functions/Responsibility Statements:

  • Analyze data to develop insights and recommendations for business decisions.

  • Create financial models to support business decisions including cashflow and net present value.

  • Create and maintain reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify trends using graphs, tables, and charting tools.

  • Collaborate with the cross-functional team including real estate professionals, design and construction managers, market planners, and Retail Network operations to understand business needs and requirements for reporting and analysis.

  • Develop and maintain key strategic processes and models such as retail branch performance, real estate attributes, and capital requirements to support strategic planning and business case development.

  • Monitor project progress through investment approval, including identifying potential delays or bottlenecks, provide regular updates to management. Facilitate monthly investment approval meeting cadence with Retail Network leadership team.

  • Maintain and update the workflow database with accurate information regarding real estate project status, timelines, and key stakeholder deliverables. Develop database report queries to gather insights and recommendations to optimize process.

  • Design reports in excel to identify data quality issues. Develop and implement solutions to solve and build routines to maintain quality over time.

  • Collaborate with software vendor and stakeholders to identify opportunities for enhancing the functionality of the workflow database. Design new features, workflows, and tools to improve usability, efficiency, and effectiveness in project tracking and management. Lead the testing and quality assurance process.

  • Train internal teams on new releases and best practices. Create and maintain process and procedure documentation.

  • Act as a resource for Retail Network leadership and partner with key stakeholders across Retail, Real Estate, and other Bank divisions to identify process improvement opportunities and develop and deliver innovative and effective responses.

  • Lead and coordinate the Distribution Strategy Team commitment to the Bank’s records management compliance policy.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excel (VLOOKUP, index/match, pivots, graphs, etc.) – Required

  • PowerPoint (integrating charts, tables, process diagrams, and other visual aids) – Required

  • SQL or other database query and reporting - Required

  • Ability to analyze information and to evaluate the implications of a course of action or solution.

  • Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

  • Evaluate trends in data or information and create effective charts / graph and presentation in power point to communicate insights.

  • Confident, comfortable communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Demonstrated strong relationship management skills with internal and external clients; and proven ability to develop collaborative approaches.

  • Demonstrates ability to identify, recommend, document, and implement processes improvements.

  • Demonstrates excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task while maintaining strict attention to detail.

  • Experience in real estate, construction, or retail industry a plus

  • Experience with workflow tools such as Aprimo, software release testing, Visio documentation, or Tableau a plus.

  • Strong project management skills including, critical ability to coordinate and balance multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment, under pressure, and meeting deadlines.

  • Strong presentation skills with demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of management through clear, informed, and logical discussions/presentations.

  • Successfully completes regulatory and job training requirements.

Working Conditions: Frequent Minimal physical effort such as sitting, standing and walking. The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.

Salary: $74,250 - $100,000/year
