Alexion Pharmaceuticals Associate Director, US Marketing, NMOSD in Boston, Massachusetts

Position Summary and Principal Activities:

The Associate Director will play a key role in the successful creation and execution of launch strategies and tactics for NMOSD - a rare, devastating, complement-mediated disorder of the central nervous system characterized by relapses. This position will collaborate closely with the Director, U.S. Marketing – NMOSD and will report to the Executive Director of US Marketing – NMOSD. Key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support creation of go-to-market launch plan for NMOSD in the U.S.

  • Support and/or lead development of print and digital branded and unbranded assets

  • Manage annual congress plan and all aspects surrounding key meetings

  • Develop monthly and quarterly business review reports containing quantitative and qualitative actionable insights for senior leadership in close partnership with operations, finance and sales teams

  • Manage and implement KOL outreach and programming to gain ongoing insight to inform development of educational initiatives

  • Create and execute ongoing training for promotional speakers, including Faculty Development Meetings and other key tactics for ongoing training

  • Manage cross-functional coordination with other Alexion line functions (e.g. clinical, medical affairs, regulatory, sales) focused on key customer segments

  • Communicate effectively to all levels of Alexion staff and management

  • Work with the highest degree of professionalism and in accordance with the company’s policies and Code of Ethics and Business Conduct

Job Requirements:

Candidate will play a key role in developing effective partnerships with key opinion leaders and work collaboratively across many cross-functional teams.

  • This person must possess a strong ability to manage multiple projects across functional areas, and work independently when appropriate, within teams, and as a sub-team lead.

  • Successful results driven performance in marketing roles, including product launches

  • Experience in marketing message development and communication

    Other Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required, Graduate Degree Preferred

  • Strong knowledge of MS Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel

  • Strong organization, planning and prioritization skills

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

Certain activities may involve travel 40% of the time or involve weekend programs.
