About the Role
Boston University Admissions seeks an Associate Director of Marketing and Operations. This role’s primary responsibility is to strategically utilize the Admissions CRM platform to develop, manage, and implement the admissions marketing plan with the goal of attracting, influencing, and informing prospective students, parents, high school principals/headmasters, and guidance counselors about the value and benefits of a BU education. The Associate Director manages all integrated marketing communication efforts in the CRM, and support the development marketing collateral, including letters, postcards, brochures, and event invitations. The Associate Director is responsible for cultivating a strong and robust inquiry pool as the foundation for achieving the goal of enrolling the most academically talented students at BU. The Associate Director supervises and directs the work of the Assistant Director of Admissions Marketing and Communications. This position is eligible to work two days remotely a week.
The Associate Director of Marketing and Operations is an integral member of a team of six marketing professionals within Admissions. This position works closely with the admissions recruitment, selection, international, and visitor center teams, along with IS&T, Enrollment Service Operations (ESO), and central marketing.
The Associate Director of Marketing and Operations will:
Develop and implement the Salesforce CRM marketing strategy for undergraduate admissions for an audience of more than 500,000 prospective students and inquiries, as well as for parents, guidance counselors and other key stakeholders;
Serve as a primary marketing team lead for annual updates to the proprietary BU admissions portal;
Plan and execute Student Search initiatives, in conjunction with the Director of Strategic Marketing & Communications;
Manage all aspects of the admissions editorial mailing calendar and e-mail drip campaigns and;
Ensure completion and accuracy of all projects

About the Candidate
A Bachelor’s degree and five to eight years of experience is required for this position. We are seeking a candidate who:
Has strong writing and communication skills;
Displays an understanding of strategic digital marketing, preferably in higher education;
Has a strong eye for captivating content and attention;
Possess strong organizational and time management skills;
Can manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders;
Has experience in marketing best practices and data analysis and;
Is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Experience in a CRM system, especially Salesforce, and knowledge of the college admissions process is highly desirable, but the department is willing to train these skills with the right candidate.
