About the role:

Join Takeda as an Associate Director where you will independently design and implement extensive scientific research projects. You will also contribute to multiple projects, being a senior scientific consultant, a project team leader or provide key technical knowledge to a project team. As part of the Biologics Analytics team, you will report to the Associate Director and work with the Global Biologics organization.

How you will contribute:

  • Functional area leader with strong expertise in biologics characterization including deep understanding of binding kinetics using SPR and other orthogonal methods.

  • Extensive antigen characterization not limited to binding only, antigen design and biophysical characterization nice to have.

  • Effective project and resource management skills in matrix organization.

  • Building new capabilities to broaden scope and capacity of Protein analytics workflow.

  • Experience in presenting data and strategy to be presented across Takeda network involving multiple sites and disease areas.

  • Experience in assay development and data analysis.

  • Ability to work independently and thrive in team environment.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • PhD degree in a scientific discipline with 6+ years’ experience, or MS with 10+ years’ experience, or BS with 12+ years’ experience.

  • Minimum 5 years of industry experience in hands-on analytical characterization of biologics is required.

  • Experience with Octet, SPR, biophysical characterization.

  • Experience as team representative for analytics on project team.

  • Experience with interacting with development team and transferring projects from research to development.

Boston, MA

U.S. Base Salary Range:

$149,100.00 - $234,300.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
