What the Associate Director, Field Reimbursement will fulfill:

The primary responsibility of this role is to lead and coach a team of 10-12 field reimbursement managers in a defined geography responsible for ensuring optimal access, effective pull-through, reimbursement services and program support in collaboration with the Tralokinumab Hub services organization.

This role requires strategic, tactical, operational, organizational, problem solving communications, and project management skills. Strong results orientation and a sense of urgency to get things done are critical. This professional is an architect of creative solutions that embraces innovative approaches and is comfortable in an entrepreneurial and growing commercial organization and committed to ethical behavior in every aspect of their duties and in compliance with company policies and within the industry’s legal and regulatory framework. The ideal candidate will have experience in dermatology, in depth field reimbursement team and competitive launch experience, including a strong understanding of and respect for patients, providers, advocates and dedicated health care providers.

Your contribution to the team includes:

  • Recruit, hire, build, lead and retain a best in class customer facing field reimbursement manager team.

  • Onboard field reimbursement team to support the successful launch of tralokinumab (self-injectable biologic for atopic dermatitis).

  • Execute field reimbursement strategy in collaboration with management and internal and external partners.

  • Ensure team compliance with all of Leo’s policies and procedures and relevant rules & regulations that govern reimbursement support services.

  • Consistently monitor the team’s activities to ensure optimal service level to customers.

  • Additional duties as assigned by LEO Management.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • 7+ year’s experience in pharma / Biotech industry.

  • 5+ year’s experience as a field reimbursement leader having led an FRM team required.

  • Experience supporting self-injectable biologics or/and biologics required.

  • Experience as a field reimbursement manager (2-3) years.

  • A minimum of 2-3 years related payer or office reimbursement field management experience in the healthcare industry preferred.

  • In-depth knowledge of patient support offerings, field reimbursement, distribution, buy and bill payer landscape, and new product launches.

  • Ability to travel up to 50%.

  • Knowledge and experience working with specialty pharmacy.

  • Understanding of the payer/reimbursement landscape as it relates to biologic treatments (experience in Dermatology preferred).

  • Strong knowledge of the payer environment, including government and commercial payers, as well as the technical payer policies and processes for prior authorization approvals for biologic treatments.

  • In depth understanding of drug distribution (patient acquisition biologic treatments).

  • Strong organizational, problem solving and project management skills.

  • Demonstrated successful team coaching, management and people development experience.

  • Ability to work in a cross-functional/matrix/team environment in a reimbursement environment.

  • Ability to influence without authority.

  • Ability to interact with customers, prescribers, medical office staff, and decision makers at institutions.

  • Track and report KPI.

  • Monitor team usage of CRM and dashboard tools.

  • Solid knowledge of patient services /Hub programs and experience working collaboratively with Hub roles.

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Compliance with HIPAA regulations, OIG guidance, Advertising, and promotion requirements, the Anti -Kickback statute, and applicable policies, best practices, and guidelines.

  • Valid driver’s license.

  • Must be able to perform all essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
