BeiGene Associate Director, Commercial FP&A in Boston, Massachusetts

The Associate Director, Commercial FP&A is a member of the Commercial Finance team. He/ She should be based in the United States and reports into the Director, Commercial FP&A. He/ She will provide finance business partnering for the North America Commercial, North America Medical Affairs and New Markets teams.

This role will partner with the business functions to develop Revenue and Operating expenses forecasting; Track Monthly results versus Actuals; Support the monthly accrual process; Lead the Power BI implementation project and other Ad Hoc Finance activities.

The successful candidate will have pharmaceutical industry experience with an understanding of both Commercial and Medical Affairs organization, working in a global environment and leading and delivering business process improvement initiatives. The Associate Director will be a hands-on and valued partner that provides analytical and strategic support to the business functions, can influence and challenge business assumptions and works closely with senior functional leads to support high quality decision making while adhering to budget guidelines.

Candidates should have a strong understanding of the mechanisms of financial reporting, accounting, and financial systems. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential as the role with communicate frequently with our global Corporate/Commercial Finance teams, and stakeholders of various departments.

Essential Functions of the job:

  • Lead the Commercial long-range plan, annual operating plan and quarterly forecasting processes

  • Develop internal reporting packages; Dashboards; Monthly Actuals versus Budget reports to bring financial transparency

  • Partner with Commercial, Medical Affairs and New Markets functions proactively providing financial insights to make business decisions

  • Enhance Financial discipline across the North America Commercial and Medical Affairs and New Markets organization

  • Strong knowledge of FP&A reporting systems (TM1 specifically) and processes

Education/Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting required

  • 15+ years of relevant experience in financial planning role, preferably in pharma

  • Strong business partnering, influencing and analytical skills with demonstrated business insights and process impact in previous roles

  • Experience as supervisor is a plus

Computer Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Excel and TM1 required

  • SAP and Workday experience preferable

  • Knowledge of Power BI, Think-cell is a plus
