AECOM Architect - Boston in Boston, Massachusetts

Job Summary

AECOM is seeking an Architect to join our team in our Boston, MA office. We offer a wide range of architectural experience performing work throughout the US and internationally.

The candidate will be responsible for translating direction from project design and management leads into conceptual, schematic, and design development packages, and moving into the production of construction documents as required. The applicant will be responsible for directing junior and intermediate-level staff and should have a proven track record of working in a collaborative environment. The candidate must be an excellent collaborator willing to contribute to a team effort, as well as work independently. The candidate must also be flexible and able to adapt to rapidly changing project requirements and deadlines.

  • Develops creative and coherent approaches and design solutions to a wide range of complex problems

  • Participates in the development of documents required at all phases of project design including all phases of construction documents, specifications, and construction administration

  • Develops solutions for a wide range of difficult technical problems and interdisciplinary issues within established project budgets

  • Ability to work independently

  • Develops details and edits specifications

  • Adapts and modifies design features under supervision of a Project Manager to meet project specifications

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/ BS in Architecture with 4 years of experience required

  • Architecture license

  • Experience with project phases from schematic through construction administration

  • Experience coordinating and collaborating with multiple disciplines and consultant teams

  • Experience with Autodesk Revit

  • Due to the nature of the work, U.S. Citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Past experience with DoD projects
