What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree or higher or Combination of relevant education, experience and training

  • 2+ years experience in retail, ideally including 1 year in an allocation/inventory management roles

  • PC Skills including MS Office, must have advanced Excel skills

  • Strong knowledge of retail inventory management measures (sell-through, weeks of supply, etc.)

  • Successful experience with analytics and data-driven decision making

About our team

In this role, you will work on the North America Direct Stores team, specifically on the Allocation team. We serve our consumers at two flagship store locations and across 78 additional factory doors across the US. Our team is small but mighty.

Who we are looking for

Converse is hiring for an Allocation Segmentation Planner to join our fast-paced DTC Allocation team. In this role you will be responsible for data-driven analysis that supports our Store segmentation strategies; and drive assortment decisions to meet our revenue and margin goals for the Converse retail stores. You will appropriately allocate fashion categories across our segments and clusters to ensure the "right" merchandise is in the "right" stores at the "right" times.

You will act as the subject matter and systems expert to review and implement current allocation processes to support positive change. You will be a key decision-maker regarding company inventory. In addition, you will demonstrate your knowledge of industry trends and innovations in the footwear business to drive the Allocation function to the next level.

What you will work on

  • Lead the team in developing the Seasonal segmentation strategies for stores —leverage size, color, community, regional, seasonal data to meet or exceed financial targets.

  • Build Store level assortments for Bin Closeout product to align with capacity targets, store performance data, and drive higher inventory productivity.

  • Collaborates with the planning, buying, and visual merchandising to ensure capacity and fixture presentation needs are met.

  • Partner with Planning to align on strategies for promotion and pricing based on in-season sales trends.

  • Weekly flow strategy and unit shipment forecasting, including replenishment for fashion and closeout product, to optimize inventory levels, productivity and turn rates.

  • Effective communication and partnership with store teams to assess inventory needs and challenges.

  • Communicating floor-set store shipment strategy and peak season shipment forecasts to Supply Chain and store partners with a focus on any risks/opportunities.

  • Accurate and segmented size break scales and pre-pack/shipment strategy for set and replenishment goals.

  • Analyze seasonal Store level performance, use data to support future decisions.

Who you will work with

You will report to the Allocation Manager, supporting the Converse Direct Stores. The Allocation Manager roles into the Director of Allocation. You will work closest with teammates in Merchandising and Merchandise Planning but will have positive relationships with Supply Chain, Store Leaders, Finance, Store Operations, and Digital counterparts.
