As a CBM Lead Engineer, the candidate will collaborate with the CBM Global Leader and multiple teams, to provide engineering assessments, recommendations and risk analyses for engine components and modules based on hardware condition for the Aero units (LM6000, LMS100, LM/TM2500 products).

What you'll do

The CBM Lead Engineer will be responsible for executing and monitoring Approval to Run (ATR) (Maintenance extensions) analyses; will provide, as required, engineering assessments on hardware conditions for planned and unplanned events; will also support, and lead, from the CBM perspective, all Managed Care assigned efforts (ATR reports, bulletins implementation/recommendations, etc.); will be co-responsible for providing RPN quality checks; will collaborate with the required functions for ELITE enhancements; and will support Unexpected Engine Removal reduction initiatives.

  • Execute all CBM related activities, which include, but are not limited to engineering assessments, recommendations and risk analyses on hardware, modules, and engines for Aero technology (LM6000, LMS100, LM/TM2500). Typical scopes of these efforts are developed during an ATR planned process, Managed Cared initiatives, Engineering Assessments during conditions found on planned and unplanned outages, etc.

  • Act as a Quality checker of RPN, request update on Manuals.

  • Collaborate globally, among others, with the CBM Global Leader, PSE, Products (PSE Product Lines), Life Cycle, Reliability, Performance, CM&U, MPE Lab Engineering teams and Contractual, Legal, Managed Care, and Sales teams on assessing, recommending, and providing risk analysis from the CBM perspective to a holistic approach of Aero Technology products.

  • Collaborate with FieldCore on improving Borescope tools and processes to ensure efficient and accurate data capture into our ELITE lifecycle database.

  • Coach and leads others in the organization.

  • Propose different solutions outside set parameters to address complex engineering challenges. Uses multiple sources to arrive at decisions.

  • Develop and cultivates mutually beneficial work relationships and alliances within and outside of the organization. Effectively present and communicate within peers, organizational and technical leadership teams, internal and external customers.

  • Effectively communicate and participate on different Aero teams and leadership forums to provide status of CBM associated projects, savings, challenges and risk assessment and mitigation plans.

  • Actively participate in continuous improvement and innovation initiatives. Typical process and platforms are ATR process, ELITE platform, BSI reports, RPN calculation, UER reductions, CBM collaboration with other teams and organization, Quality Checks, Managed Care, Manuals updates.

What you'll bring (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, mechatronics, aeronautical or a related engineering discipline from an accredited university or college.

  • Advanced experience on Aero Technology Products (LM6000, LMS100, LM/TM2500) or Gas Turbine within engineering and field scopes (Common Gas Turbine component distress, Borescope inspection evaluation and finding interpretations against Operation and Maintenance Manual)

For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the base pay range for this position is $98,400.00 - 164,000.00 USD Annual.

The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, geographic location, and skill set.

This position is also eligible for a 10% annual performance bonus. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%,120% or 130% of salary in certain areas of the USA.
