Stantec 3D Design Visualization Specialist in Boston, Massachusetts

We continue to actively build our 3D modeling practice within our design team and are looking for a creative professional that is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life where people live, work, and play.

Your Opportunity

Design Visualization Services (DVS) is actively seeking to fill a full-time position as a 3D Visualization Specialist.

We are looking for an applicant with a strong technical skill-set who is excited to work on a wide range of projects, from small-scale 3D residential renderings to large-scale infrastructure virtual reality simulations.

Applicants will work alongside experienced professionals and must be able to communicate with a creative and dynamic team. We are looking for applicants with relevant industry qualifications and software experience who are ready to join our growing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with project engineers, architects and designers to collect and cleanup 2D/3D CAD data

  • Compiling and exporting clean information into various 3D applications (most often 3D Studio Max)

  • Assisting DVS project managers in the modeling and site preparation phases of multiple concurrent projects

  • Researching new techniques to streamline our production processes

  • Open to learning new programs, plug-ins, and processes to apply to future projects

Capabilities and Credentials:

  • An in-depth knowledge of 3D Studio Max

  • Experience using AutoCAD, Civil3D and Revit to export/import information into 3D Studio Max

  • Experience using the Adobe creative suite

  • Experience with real-time rendering engines is a plus

  • Strong verbal, written, and visual presentation skills

  • Reliability, able to work on tight project deadlines as both an individual and part of a team
