Job Description Summary

Develop and influence overall strategy for Risk Control Learning & Development.

Align priorities, talent, capacity, and solutions to achieve scale among staff development efforts and customer training.

Ensure Risk Control L&D strategies and practices align with enterprise capabilities through connections with Learning Leaders and other enterprise forums. Aligning Risk Control staff participation in several cross-functional/enterprise efforts to achieve scale, reduce redundancy of efforts, leverage solutions in other parts of the business.

Establish and execute on vision for learning culture, and impact of learning on business results in Risk Control by establishing communication vehicles with field, field leadership, and business partners.

Collaborate with leadership, stakeholders and team to establish and execute overall talent development vision and strategy for Risk Control to enable performance today and in the future.

Collaborate with leadership, stakeholders and team to establish and execute overall vision and strategy for customer training aligned with business priorities.

Directly manages a staff and other managers to ensure successful support of Risk Control Learning and Development strategy.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manages the day-to-day work of direct reports.

  • Develops strategies and best practices used to assess training needs by collaboratively working with RC leaders as well as subject matter experts at all levels of the organization to conduct needs analysis and support short and long-term business objectives through application of appropriate adult learning strategies, design, delivery, strategy, execution to support business needs.

  • As needed, designs, develops, and delivers comprehensive training strategies, programs, and curricula, using the appropriate training methodology, to meet training initiatives and enhance productivity for the business.

  • Develops and designs short and long-term planning strategies and initiatives.

  • Determines the best instructional methods for each training program or session.

  • Develops short and long term strategies to ensure training initiatives are effective and in alignment with business strategy.

  • Reviews results of training evaluations and recommend appropriate actions.

  • Creates and manages budget, ensuring cost effective methods are utilized and business training needs are met.

  • Identifies and deploys appropriate resources to meet client needs. As needed, negotiates for additional resources.

  • Identifies, evaluates and negotiates vendor alternatives. Manages vendor quality. Drives strategy for vendor management.

  • Works with team and business leadership to identify areas where training solutions can be leveraged across businesses.

  • Responsible for providing consistent performance feedback and coaching to staff.

  • Completes formal performance reviews for staff and other HR administrative tasks as needed.

  • Develops team goals and drives strategies to meet business objectives.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of seven years of work experience in supported business operation or other learning and development related experience.

Education, Work Experience, & Knowledge

  • Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent experience in adult learning techniques, customer service or management preferred.

  • 8+ years of professional experience preferred.

  • 4 years of management experience preferred.

  • Professional training credentials preferred.
