Job Summary:

Reporting into the Senior Vice President, Operations, this strategic data-driven role will support senior leadership across a dynamic Operations organization -

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities:

  • Project Coordination and Leadership:

  • Project and coordination leadership across multiple areas of the Operations value chain.

  • Attend weekly Operations Leadership team meetings to track action items and notes. Coordination and follow-up on quarterly or bi-monthly Senior Operational field visits.

  • Prepare Operations stories to highlight across a variety of forums, including Town Halls, internal newsletters, internally produced videos and more.

  • Strategic Insights and Executive Business Presentations:

  • Exceptional written and verbal business communication across all forums.

  • Ability to distill large data sets and insights into consulting-quality Senior-Leadership-ready presentation materials that are crisp, accurate, tell a compelling story and prompt action. Presentation samples will be required as part of the interview process.

  • Create agendas, meeting materials and presentation content for regular Regional Field Team Meetings, Club Transformation Advisory Council (CTAC) and other Senior Leadership meetings.

  • Business Analysis: Highlight trends, successes, and areas of opportunity across the Operations value chain from root cause and leading indicator analysis through financial performance.

  • This position plays a critical role in providing thought leadership, operational planning, reporting and oversight, from systems input to variance analysis. Fully understands the end-to-end process associated with financial reporting systems from POS into SAP feed.

  • Exceptional analysis and research skills across operational areas. Keen understanding of operational root causes and resulting financial results.

  • Creates meaningful business analysis that highlights variances across a broad variety of retail and warehouse operations.

  • Ensures that opportunities are identified, rigorously analyzed, and reported on regularly to identify outliers. Provides structured follow-up and support to the Leadership Team.

Qualifications

  • 7 to 10 years of experience in Consulting and Financial Analysis required. Degree in Business, Finance or Business Analysis required. MBA strongly preferred. Retail consulting experience preferred.

  • This is a position with daily executive visibility. High-level of poise, professionalism and integrity expected.

  • Exceptional communicator who is meticulous, and able to process large data-sets information into a story with accuracy and integrity. Strong ability to translate financial concepts and analysis into clear, concise, and polished PowerPoint presentations.

  • Experience with SAP, extremely comfortable with IT systems, strong knowledge of the complete Microsoft Office suite, with expert level Excel and PowerPoint skills. Ability to understand and develop partnerships with functional business partners on a day-to-day basis and ability to negotiate with business partners at all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to manage high volume of work, multiple tasks, meet project timelines.

  • Hybrid position with 3-days per week in the Marlborough corporate office. Ability to accommodate travel, with expected bi-monthly or quarterly frequency.

In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position. At BJ’s Wholesale Club, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications. The pay range for this position is starting from $104,000.00.
