Baker Hughes Senior Engineer CTH 3- Mechanical Component in BILLERICA, Massachusetts
Develop ultrasonic flowmeter systems and transducers for the Oil & Gas industry. Support New Product Introduction (NPI) projects developing cutting edge technology that serve a broad portfolio of applications in ultrasonic flow metering. Draft mechanical drawings for parts and assemblies and set up Bill of Materials (BOMs) to execute NPI designs. Set up experiment apparatus, conduct and document experiments and tests in lab and customer site. Review the detail design work performed by team members and suppliers using quality tools and calculations to make sure the meter design meet standards, codes and country certifications. Provide technical expertise to a global workforce.
Bachelor’s degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering and 8 years of progressively responsible post-Bachelor’s degree experience in related occupation. Alternatively, a Master’s degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering, and 6 years of experience in related occupation is acceptable. The position also requires 6 years of experience with: Completing structural and flow analysis using finite element analysis including ANSYS expertise; Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T); Pressure Vessels design & fabrication per different local and international standards and regulations; Design for manufacturing processes including time in a Machine shop / fabrication shop including Computer Numerical Control (CNC), welding, 3D printing and casting experience; 5 years of experience with 3D CAD modelling and technical drafting (Solidworks); 5 years of experience in Oil and Gas industry with focus in metering system; 3 years of experience with: Electronics testing including EMC and environmental testing; Ultrasonic technology; and Root cause analysis; and 2 years of experience with SAP.
