The product development team at BHGE Measurement & Control is seeking a talented Lead Software Test Engineer to join the Engineering team to validate ultrasonic flowmeters, and gas and moisture analyzers for the Oil & Gas as well as other industries.
Ensuring requirements are translated correctly into cohesive verification solutions.
Development of embedded software/firmware (C/C++/C#) test cases
Perform manual and/or automation testing of software/firmware.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Designing automated software testing techniques and Continuous Integration.
Collaborate with global resources to develop test cases and automated test solutions.
Working closely with the design team
Responsible for technical quality assurance
5 years’ experience in Software programming language experience (C/C++), software scripting language (Python, shell)
Experience conducting software/firmware design verification reviews and working with microprocessor and/or microcontroller (16-bit and above)
Experience of testing low level drivers for embedded systems (i.e. device drivers).
Knowledge of hardware level interfacing (e.g. device drivers)
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software/Electronic, Controls or Electrical Engineering
Interpretation and understanding of hardware datasheets and device capabilities
Time management skills, work to deadlines and respond effectively to demanding customer requests.
Awareness of cybersecurity related issues and potential countermeasures-Desired
Experience with Change Management and Configuration management tools
Work within an Agile development environment
Mobile/Tablet platforms (e.g. Android, iOS, Linux).
Experience Low-Level (Unit) Testing (LLT) using industry standard software (e.g. Cantata, CppUnit, LDRA).
Instrumentation and stubbing of code to enable unit testing.
Experience in source control packages (e.g. SVN, Github).
Verification of communications protocols -Desired
Experience of verifying embedded firmware with or without an RTOS.
Experience with LabVIEW or any other process-controlled automation software
Embedded platforms (including use of instrumentation such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.)
Desktop software (e.g. Windows based, or Linux based).
Desire to learn and try new things
