A Day in the Life

The Process Engineering Program Manager will oversee and manage the development and execution of engineering projects of varying scope and output within Medtronic's Cardiac Ablation Solutions (CAS) OU in the [specific Cardiovascular division. This role requires a blend of strong technical expertise, project management skills, data analysis, creating dashboards and the ability to collaborate across various departments to ensure project success from concept through commercialization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management:

  • Lead cross-functional project teams to deliver engineering projects on time, within scope, and within budget.

  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, data dive, create dashboards and risk management.

  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.

  • Communicate project status, challenges, and solutions to stakeholders, including senior management.

  • Use the tools at disposal to deliver on milestones.

  • Technical Leadership:

  • Provide technical guidance and leadership to engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Ensure projects adhere to Medtronic’s quality standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.

  • Oversee the design, development, testing, and validation of new products and improvements to existing products.

  • Collaboration and Communication:

  • Collaborate with R&D, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Manufacturing, and other departments to ensure seamless project execution.

  • Foster a collaborative and innovative project environment.

  • Prepare and present project updates, technical reports, and presentations to various stakeholders.

  • Resource Management:

  • Manage project resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and materials.

  • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors as needed.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree required with minimum of 7 years of relevant experience OR

  • Advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience

Nice to Have:

  • Experience:

  • Previous MDT Experience

  • Manf. Engineering Experience

  • Efficient with Excel

  • PMP Certification

  • Lean Certification

  • JMP, Power Bi & Minitab

  • Hyper vigilant on driving project targets and holding team accountable to timelines.

  • Solid communication skills to present and modify the messagingbased on the audience and different levels of leadership.

  • Ability to change course with minimal notice.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the medical device industry.

  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex engineering projects from concept to commercialization.

  • Strong understanding of medical device regulations (e.g., FDA, ISO).

  • Skills and Competencies:

  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strong technical background with the ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts.

  • Exceptional leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet) and standard office applications (e.g., MS Office Suite).

The provided base salary range is used nationally in the United States (except in Puerto Rico and certain CA locations). The rate offered is compliant with federal/local regulations and may vary by experience, certification/education, market conditions, location, etc.
