Bruker Corporation Development Project Manager - Applied Markets in Billerica, Massachusetts

Bruker Daltonics is seeking a self-motivated Development Project Manager with experience delegating to team members in a matrix organization across software teams and external collaborators. Working within the software R&D function and as part of the Proteomics Bioinformatics team, the successful candidate will work to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope. He or she will coordinate with other teams (internal and external) to ensure all aspects of each project are compatible.   • Manage projects with cross functional teams (internal and external) based around the world

  • Manage project status based on Gantt charts

  • Risk assessments and contingency planning

  • Scheduling

  • Project control

  • Planning meetings, problem solving meetings, progress updates, deep dive meetings

  • Prepare and deliver project reports to senior management

  • Track project performance against objectives and key milestones

  • Populate and maintain work items system (Jira) for task assignment

  • Assign project tasks to cross functional teams and monitor progress towards on-time completion

  • Assign tasks to project members in conjunction with priorities set by Business Units

  • Ability to prioritize and progress a number of clearly defined tasks in parallel, collate relevant data and report them in a clear and concise manner.

  • Plan and execute regular project meetings

  • Product requirements management

  • Perform product performance analysis

  • Manage specific tasks in the product life cycle process

  • Contribute to market intelligence and the competitive landscape, as well as on value propositions incl. ROI of the portfolio

  • Support the product managers in establishing and maintaining a network of key opinion leaders and early adopters in the various market segments

  • Become the primary point-of-contact for internal and external collaborators in providing technical assistance pertaining to tool\algorithm\system integration into the bioinformatics product(s)

  • Comprehend the data flow and data structure of our bioinformatics products

  • Be able to explain to a range of collaborators (from laypersons to technical experts)

  • Provide level I/II support for collaborators

  • Escalate to development teams only when required

  • Support the commercialization

  • Contribute to the development of promotional tools with marketing and support to sales force and sales partners

  • Representation of the company and promotion of the product portfolio at congresses or seminars

  • Perform customer demonstrations of products

  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies

  • Travel required

  • Advanced degree in Science or Engineering

  • Minimum 5 years working experience with LC-MS/MS

  • Technical expertise in relevant application areas (e.g. research, pharma, proteomics, multi-omics, protein sciences

Skills and experiences

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Excellent analytical skills

  • Good knowledge of applications and technologies of products and solutions related to LC-MS/MS omics in various areas

  • Basic knowledge on the methods and technologies used in product management

  • Basic knowledge on use cases, applications and technologies of the product portfolio

  • Basic understanding and experience in agile and lean business innovation and lean development processes

  • Very good English language skills; German language skills are beneficial

  • Business acumen, high degree of identification with the organization and its targets

  • Able to manage and delegate to a growing global team and bring the best out of each member

  • Acts and decides based on deep market insights

  • Team player & ability to form, motivate, lead and resolve conflicts within complex matrix structures
