Location/Division Specific Information
In this role you will be a part of the BioProduction Division, supporting a new manufacturing facility currently being built in Chelmsford, MA. As the facility is not yet operational, this role will be initially based in the Bedford, MA facility to allow for sufficient training and familiarization with the POROS Chromatography resins, used by our pharmaceutical customers near the end of their process to purify their treatments, therapies, vaccines, etc.
How will you make an impact?
The Team Leader, POROS is responsible for monitoring the operations of the designated manufacturing work stream along with other Team Leader in the group ensuring the team's success in meeting customer expectations. He/She will oversee the activities of personnel to assure production schedules are met and partners with the planning team to set the production schedule. He/She will encounter recurring work situations of high complexity, with occasional variations from the norm.
What will you do?
Supervise the production process and ensure compliance to all safety and other regulatory requirements while also creating a culture of Safety and Quality focus
Coordinate, drive, and assist in the prioritization of daily activities to meet production goals.
Manages recruiting processes hiring new operators (both full time and contractors) to the manufacturing team and assists in their training
How will you get here?
Bachelor degree in a technical field desired, high school diploma/GED minimum educational requirement
3+ years of Manufacturing Leadership
24 hour operations experience desired
Proven track record of hiring for and growing a high performing team
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Knowledge of cGMP and safety (OSHA) regulations desirable
Experience with the following systems: Delta V (Process Control System), Agile (Change Order Management), Trackwise (Problem Reporting and Root Cause Counter Measure software), SAP (Material Requirements Planning)
Ability to Excel in a fast pace, demanding environment undergoing double digit annual growth
