A Day in the Life

In this exciting role as a Senior Inspection Supervisor in the Bedford and Billerica facilities, you will have responsibility for supporting the quality functions of complex catheters to support the Cardiac Ablation Solutions Business. In this role you will be part of a team that grows the operations capacity over 8X to support our customer needs in this newly acquired product portfolio. You will lead improvements in manufacturing quality, capacity, and stability through solving problems, developing solutions, and executing strategies.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

• Leads team in predetermined methods, operations, setups and prescribed specifications to inspect visually in-process and completed products such as electronic units and subsystems, precision electromechanical assemblies or mechanical units, subassemblies, structural flaws, internal defects, and missing welds.

• Uses various measuring devices and testing equipment.

• Accepts, rejects, or reworks defective or malfunctioning units or systems.

• Works from blueprints, diagrams, dial indicators, preset micrometers, scales, fixtures, customer specifications, drawing or inspection instructions and checklists.

• May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

• Performs line clearances after each lot to ensure all materials from the previous lot have been removed.

• Assures smooth operating of the inspection unit, maintaining daily records and reports.

• Prioritizes schedules based on product introduction and manufacturing schedules, maintaining a minimum turnaround time.

• Makes recommendations for capital expenditures and manpower for inspection area.

• Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

• Recommends new or enhanced methods, procedures and standards

• Management Skills: Management of Financial and Material Resources, Critical Thinking, Project Management, Management of Personnel Resources, Collaboration and Productivity Software, Effective Communication Skills.

• Functional Skills: Machining and Manufacturing Technologies, Software & Programming Languages, Technology Awareness, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), Lean Sigma DMAIC, Blueprint reading, SAP (System Applications and Products), Quality Management System.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

• Requires advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. Requires 3+ years of experience with a high school diploma or equivalent.

Nice to Have

Experience managing large teams of direct hourly reports within a medical device setting.

13485 experience.

4+ years of incoming inspection experience.

General inspection experience.

Clean Room Experience highly preferred.

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
