MITRE’s Finance organization is seeking a Senior Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst to support the MITRE Public Sector (MPS). The candidate will serve as a point of contact, whether on a recurring or ad-hoc basis, for a wide range of support within Finance, MPS Business Partners, and Corporate Finance. Furthermore, the Analyst will provide financial support to the MPS Operations and Leadership team.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Support monthly Finance Business reviews.

  • Engage with Business Partners to review monthly and forward looking KPI’s.

  • Develop and maintain relationships as a trustworthy advisor.

  • Support budget and forecast processes by tracking Indirects, Capital, and overall deliverables to MPS Leadership and Corporate Finance

  • Report center level metrics at month end Finance Business reviews (Indirect and Capital spend variance analysis).

  • Support Leadership on financial performance management, financial planning, and ad-hoc projects

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5 years of Finance and/or Accounting experience within the US Government (Federal) practice of a professional services firm with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with relevant experience who can immediately contribute at this job step; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Deltek Costpoint, Tableau, and/or Cognos Analytics preferred.

  • Resourceful self-starter who executes commitments.

  • Mindset of continuous improvement with the capacity to drive change.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation, and influencing skills.

  • Consensus builder: Promote ideas and gain buy-in on new approaches.

  • Flexible team player with the ability to work in cross-functional teams and across varying groups and organizational levels.

  • Ability to handle multiple concurrent work streams while maintaining high quality output.
