How will you make an impact?
The BPD Inventory Manager supports the BPD business driving the inventory investment analytics and management to support the aggressive growth across the BPD multisite network. The BPD Inventory Manager partner with the other Supply chain functions and the analytics team to deliver the right investments. As required, this role could be expanded to drive other related key initiatives for BPD.
What will you do?
Develop, optimize, and maintain analytical packages for the BPD sites and group stakeholders that allow BPD to drive the inventory investment more effectively.
Investigate anomalies or events in our inventory variance to determine root causes and provide guidance on actions to mitigate or improve.
Work with extended data analytics community to incorporate all solutions into the centralized processes so that targeted work can have universal benefit to the organization.
Work with the BU Network capacity managers on inventory investment to support network shifts
Partner with site Supply chain leads to drive Finished Goods Inventory Health (E&O, MOQs, SS).
Partner with site Supply chain leads to support the plant's inventory assets by balancing maximum customer service with minimum inventory investment.
Establish an inventory health metric around gross to net ratio to support corporate DOS target.
Use of root cause analysis and PPI system for sustainable corrective action to maintain customer experience service levels.
Work with Finance to deliver the monthly report out for Senior Leadership.
Partner with the LSG analytics team to insure process consistency in reporting and analytics.
Look for JDI (Just Do it) opportunities that provide an immediate impact and longer term-based trend analysis.
How will you get here?
Bachelor's degree required. (in Business, Logistics, or Industrial Engineering preferred),
5-7 years of experience in Inventory management, Supply Chain management, and/or data analytics
Proficient in managing and analyzing data in Excel; complex pivot tables & reporting, power query, advanced charting, data analysis.
Solid understanding of concepts of inventory flow and management throughout the supply chain.
Demonstrated understanding of manufacturing concepts and principles, finite scheduling, product flow, data management, and supply chain planning
Knowledgeable regarding MRP principles and system dynamics
Familiarity and experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement concepts
Proficient in managing and analyzing data in Excel; complex pivot tables & reporting, power query, advanced charting, data analysis
Ability to demonstrate communication and influencing skills, judgment, tact and diplomacy in dealing with internal and external customers.
Certified in APICS CPIM, CSCP, Project management PMP, or ISM CPSM
Lean/six sigma green belt or higher
Planning and scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment utilizing MRP/ERP tools (Made2Manage, Oracle, SAP, JDE, server-based systems)
