Finance Business Partners in the MITRE Labs Finance organization serve as trusted advisors and the single “face” of the Finance Organization for MITRE Labs leadership. They are the primary source of both routine and ad hoc financial data, analysis, recommendations, and business decision support
Roles & Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with primary customer(s), serving as the single “face” for Finance
Support customer(s) on financial performance management, financial planning, and ad-hoc projects to assist Leadership in decision-making
Full-lifecycle financial and end-to-end business support (e.g., project set-up, budgeting and forecasting, resource management, execution, and financial reviews)
Lead recurring financial business reviews with customer(s) and other MITRE Labs leadership to drive accountability for project management
Analyze and diagnose business drivers and variances to budget using various financial systems with a focus on lessons learned and recommendations for Leadership actions
Develop long-term financial projections using various methods and tools, including business case development for major investments
Communicate financial results effectively with useful visual narratives and concise actions
Partner across the Finance organization to understand business drivers and needs that assist MITRE Labs for stronger execution
Maintain a fiduciary perspective and ensure strong operating financial controls and adherence to MITRE Finance policies
Support Business Transformation and Process Reengineering efforts
Basic Qualifications:
8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree or 6 years and a Master’s degree or a PhD with 3 years experience or equivalent combination of related education and work experience
Finance and/or Accounting experience within the US Government (Federal) practice of a professional services firm
Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation, and influencing skills
Ability to manage multiple concurrent work streams while maintaining high-quality output
