Engineered Materials Solutions Quality Engineer in Attleboro, Massachusetts

Position Summary:

Responsible for improving the quality of EMS products and processes. This includes investigation of internal and external quality issues, root cause analysis and implementation of improvement actions. These activities will involve working closely with operations and product engineering.

Responsible for implementing, documenting, and maintaining Quality System Procedures, Work Instructions and forms and related Software Systems to support Quality System maintenance and improvement. Participates in internal and external audits, Corrective / Preventive Action and Continual

Responsibilities:

  • Performs necessary research on quality issues identified by product engineering and operations management. Develop corrective actions and work with operations and/or equipment engineering to implement the resolutions.

  • Provide strong technical support for the manufacturing of all EMS products.

  • Issues and leads corrective, preventive action and continual improvement projects for critical customer, operation and supplier problems.

  • Responsible for EMS Supplier Non-conformances resolution, including material evaluations and related Supplier audits.

  • Supports Quality organization in the Internal Audit Program and support of third party registration and surveillance audits.

  • Provides direct development support for the implementation of ISO 9001, 2000 and related Quality System Certification Programs.

  • Provides support to maintain and monitor key quality metrics, cost of quality, supplier performance, and customer satisfaction.

  • Supports continuous improvement activities and leads assigned improvement projects.

  • Other duties as assigned.

    Education and Experience:

  • BS Degree, Engineering

  • 2 years experience

  • ASQ Certifications (Certified Quality Engineer, Certified Quality Auditor) -Preferred
