Sensata Technologies, Inc. Quality Assurance Inspector in Attleboro, Massachusetts
The QA inspector position is in support of the Precision Thermostats, Switches and Circuit Breakers used in the Aerospace, Defense and other related industries.
Perform inspection per established quality requirements (QAS’, OCN’s, drawings, etc.). Record inspection results, as necessary by using characteristics sheets, and other log sheets. Ensure ongoing ISO/AS compliance, provide continuous improvement input. Work in team oriented activities and interface with quality, manufacturing and design engineering teams as well as other organizations, in order to achieve inspection and Quality Clinic goals. Support TPM/5S objectives to optimize quality assurance area goals. Adhere to all established safety requirements and policies. Perform as mandated Ergo-minute stretch exercises.
Preference given to candidates with experience in the following:
Testing equipment (hand held continuity testers, etc.), must be familiar with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, comparators, etc.). Individuals should know how to interpret prints/drawings, written job specifications, quality manuals. Strong candidates with minimal experience, may be given opportunity to train and develop their QA inspection skills.
-High School Diploma or Equivalent
-This position requires potential access to technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), the successful candidate must be a "U.S. person" as defined in the ITAR and EAR. In order to be a U.S. person for ITAR and EAR purposes, you must: (i) be a citizen or national of the United States; or (ii) be a lawful permanent resident (i.e., "green card holder") of the United States; or (iii) have been admitted to the United States as a refugee, or have been granted asylum, provided that you have applied for naturalization within six months of the date you first became eligible, and if not yet accepted, you are actively pursuing naturalization after two years from the date of your application.
The position will require technical learning ability and strong testing talents. The position requires both individual and team interaction in meeting goals where interaction is primarily with immediate quality supervisor, quality manager, other inspectors, technicians, engineers and production line personnel. Work environment is demanding, and involves rational thinking and strong interpretation of established quality procedures. Minimal supervision.

-Daily and weekend overtime may be required.
This opening is for 2nd shift, the chosen candidate must be able to train for some time on 1st shift.
1st shift hours are: 07:00 am - 03:30 pm
2nd shift hours are: 03:30 pm - 12:00 pm
