Sensata Technologies, Inc. IT Director, Global Client Services in Attleboro, Massachusetts

The IT Director provides guidance and vision throughout the entire technology development life cycle including requirements, development, configuration management, testing and deployment and support. Leads a team of IT resources to prioritize business needs and deliver new technology to support these emerging needs.

General Responsibilities

  • Directs the activities related to Information Technology in the company, involving the definition, development, maintenance and operation of technology

  • Advises on the selection of hardware, software and supplies

  • Oversees and determines timeframes for major IT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations and outages

  • Oversees and reports on allocation of IT budget

  • Directs team and overall IT business operations to achieve company goals

  • Transparently communicating throughout the IT organization and business

  • Identify areas of improvements and concerns and accordingly develop action plans

Experience / Qualifications

  • A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.

  • Business ethics - Ability to practice and behave consistently and effectively in areas of business practice and conflicts of interest

  • Communication - Ability to communicate effectively by getting the right message across to the right people at the right time on a regular basis

  • Managing objectives - Ability to decide what needs to be accomplished and design a plan to achieve the desired results

  • Team Management - Ability to delegate, motivate, mentor, develop and manage team to achieve objectives. Manage external resource against SLA and operational metrics

  • Budget Management - Ability to project and present annual operation Expense and Capital budget in departmental budget process

  • The IT Director, Global Client Services directs the activities and personnel associated with providing technical services to Sensata's global employees for all incidents, problems and tasks across devices and applications. In this role, you will be responsible for improving employee experience, optimizing service delivery through automation and self-service and developing and monitoring KPIs to show service improvements. General Responsibilities Directs all phases of desktop support globally, including incidents, problems, and tasks Sets strategy and executes roadmap for ServiceNow globally Develops and manages vendor contracts to execute on service delivery Directs global team to deliver and improve services to drive a better employee experience Develops training programs to educate an organization’s computer user about basic computer use and specialized applications Directs and evaluates service delivery effectivity and personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function Manages the activities of multiple sections or a discipline through subordinate supervisors and/or professionals Defines and manages metrics and reports to adjust operations and workflows as needed to optimize service desk performance Manages critical escalations being the main point for all incidents, service requests, or problems Develops Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to effectively measure Service Desk performance and balance workloads Provides a metrics driven approach to Service Desk strategy including trend identification to determine root cause, and the ability to identify opportunities for automation
