In this position you will provide calibration and technical support for the Technical Service Laboratories (TSL). The responsibilities of this role include performance of laboratory testing in accordance with customer requirements or industry standards. Effectively problem solve and debug testing and equipment related issues. Acquire, analyze, and document data and test activities. Communicate with internal customers of the lab to convey test activities or to provide test results. Create and update procedures. Identify and perform preventative maintenance on equipment. Identify and execute process and equipment related improvement opportunities to drive lab efficiencies. Support calibration related activities such as the processing of various equipment and mechanical gages in accordance with Sensata’s internal calibration procedures.

Support calibration related duties for the Calibration Lab:

  • Process various internal calibrations for Sensata in accordance with documented procedures. Calibration parameters include:

  • Voltage

  • Resistance

  • Current

  • Pressure

  • Temperature

  • Force

  • Dimensional

  • Other

  • Document and record data in accordance with lab procedures

  • Develop and document procedures for new calibrations supported by the lab

  • Communicate with equipment owners to convey test results and to collect/process equipment

Job Requirements:

  • Associates degree in a technical discipline strongly preferred or applicable technical expertise. Military Veterans encouraged to apply.

  • Experience working in a similar test lab is preferred

  • Ability to interpret drawings and test specifications

  • Ability to multitask

  • Must pay attention to detail

  • A working knowledge of MS Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and etc.

  • Knowledge of oscilloscopes, controllers, data acquisition, and electrical circuitry

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with customers, managers, and peers to achieve business and organizational goals
