ATHOL Technical Support & Special Order Representative Job Description Primary Responsibilities are fielding Technical Support and Precision Hand Tool (P.H.T.) Special Order requests. Technical Support both requires a strong knowledge of tools and the applications. Applicants should display willingness to continually learn new tools, have an engineering background or knowledge precision hand tools, and be proficient with Microsoft Office applications. Technical Support Provide technical assistance and support to the sales team, distribution, and end-users on the operation and application of precision hand tools, on the phone, email, or in-person. Primary duties will include: Addressing technical questions on tools Addressing requests to match Starrett products to competitive offerings Assist in the creating and curating technical documents like; manuals, FAQs, application whitepapers, trade magazine articles, marketing literature review. Provide support on a growing product offering Assist in training others in person or using tools like Go to Meeting/Zoom/Microsoft Teams Help identify and quote replacement parts for precision hand tools. Saw technical support Special Order Work directly with distributors and end users to interpret requirements and quote modified precision measuring tools. Inquiries are addressed primarily over the phone and email. Applicants would be expected to know how to read technical drawings as well as a working knowledge of manufacturing practices in order to develop pricing on tools. Primary duties will include: Producing Special Order tool quotes Entering order in Oracle Logging quotes in SugarCRM
