As a Financial Planning & Analysis Intern, you’ll have the opportunity to work with this professional team in critical areas like forecasting, monthly operating reviews, and the annual long term business plan/budget process.At XPO, our talented financial leaders will help you learn, grow and gain valuable experience, setting you on the path to a successful and rewarding career.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
Participate in 12-week program where you will assist in ongoing efforts focused on streamlining, improving, and automating recurring reporting and analysis, complete competitive analysis to determine market trends and XPO’s performance against the market, and gain exposure to presentations with senior leadership
Engage and communicate effectively with other professionals throughout the organization
Participate in team meetings and projects
Act a key contributor to projects that impact the business and solve real problems
Utilize accounting systems such as Oracle - Hyperion Financial Management
Assist with reporting and analytics
Build and maintain professional and collaborative relationships with internal customers
Provide accurate and timely responses to inquiries
What you need to succeed at XPO:
At a minimum, you’ll need:
Recent college graduate or currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program from an accredited university or college
2 or more years of relevant coursework
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
It’d be great if you also have:
Education toward a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics or related field
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to present clean, organized and thorough information and data appropriate for intended audience
Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
High energy work style with a strong drive to succeed
Self-motivated and able to work well with minimal supervision or in a team environment; able to consult with team members and management as needed
