Mercury Systems Vice President, Enterprise Systems in Andover, Massachusetts
Reporting to the CIO, the Vice President of Enterprise Systems at Mercury Systems is viewed as a strategic partner to the business to help drive growth and profitability. The successful candidate will be capable of forming collaborative partnerships with all levels of the business and aligning talented IT resources to be meet the needs of a fast-paced growing enterprise. The ideal candidate will have extensive business and IT leadership experience at a Sr. director or VP level with demonstrated, consistent success delivering value to the business through scalable IT solutions.
You are responsible for
Partner with business leaders to establish business systems strategies that improve operational efficiency, reduce operational costs and enable business growth and scalability
Foster a strong customer service mind-set throughout the Business Application Services team, while challenging existing methodologies and business processes
Effectively manage communication with the Mercury community, up to and including the executive staff.
Lead by example, consistently displaying Mercury's core values while effectively managing the performance and professional development of the business applications team.
Set clear objectives and direction for the business applications team, resulting in projects being delivered on-time and within budget
Play a major role in Mercury's M&A execution, by assessing business processes and systems of acquired companies and driving rapid process alignment and applications integration.
Maintain project lifecycle processes and standards to ensure best practice change management and full compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
Effective management of IT service providers to ensure Mercury continues to receive a high level of quality and value from these providers
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
15+ years of IT leadership experience at the Sr. Director or VP level.
Past experience working in a company focused on M&A and successfully leading process and systems integration activity.
Ability to manage, motivate and mentor a group of highly technical seasoned professionals within a complex business environment.
Strong understanding of manufacturing and supply chain operations and the associated operational, accounting and finance reporting required to ensure rapid decision support to business leaders
Strong problem-solving capabilities with the ability to influence desired outcomes.
Experience deploying and supporting functionality and enhancements in an Oracle EBS and Saleforce.com environment
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills for leadership, technical and business audiences
Excellent interpersonal skills demonstrated by the ability to: listen to and empathize with others; convey confidence; provide exemplary levels of service; resolve conflict effectively; collaborate with and facilitate small groups.
Strategic mindset to envision the future and translate into tangible strategies
Prior experience in business roles (engineering, operations) is desirable
Bachelor's Degree (College/University Degree and/or Undergraduate Diploma in Information Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or Mathematics) or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Prior knowledge and/or experience with budget and expense management.
Ability to work under constantly changing conditions and tight deadlines and simultaneously manage multiple goals and deadlines;
Ability to develop an applications architecture vision aligned with business objectives and translate into a tangible deployment roadmap
