This position is typically held by an individual who has 1-3 years experience in the industry and has intermediate knowledge of HVAC, access or other building or electronic control systems . This position is responsible for providing high quality engineering designs per specifications, standards, budgets and schedules for HVAC and access/security critical applications, as well as participating on a team to design building automation control and facility management systems. Works with minimal supervision and reports into the Project Manager or Engineering Manager. Responsibilities included below should be handled with minimal supervision:

  • Review specifications, drawings, estimates, and existing customer or site requirements as necessary to define an executed scope

  • Resolve design issues through RFI’s, field surveys and documentation materials tracking

  • Assist in developing hardware standards and processes

  • Assist in job close out by providing final record drawings

  • Designs hardware submittals of an intermediate level, or of an expert level with mentor support

  • Maintain and adhere to standards for estimating and budgeting hardware design

  • May participate in field startup using standard start up and checkout processes
