As Chief Engineer for the Deployment, Fielding & Sustainment (DFS) IPT, you will work across the program on capability development, technical solutions and program execution. The DFS IPT Chief Engineer will report directly to the Air and Missile Defense Product Line Chief Engineer and DFS IPT Director, interacting with IPT, CPTs and PMO leadership on Capability Development, Technical Solutions and Program Execution across deployed systems. General responsibilities will include:
Reporting, archiving, and governance of field issues
Engage the SME support and ensuring the PL awareness of field issues
Setting and driving capability roadmaps
Driving in lessons learned from Engineering to the IPT
Resolving engineering technical issues related to DFS scope
Contributing to proposal activity related to Engineering scope within the IPT
Flyaway SME Training/Development
Collaborate with Maintenance Engineering to increase Fault Detection/Fault Isolation effectiveness
Able to support limited OCONUS travel for Radar maintenance and repair.
Required Skills:
10+ years of experience with Engineering processes, problem resolution, and capability development
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or Mathematics
Six Sigma Specialist Certified (R6s or equivalent)
Experience with the support of OCONUS fielded systems
Demonstrated ability to lead teams, inspiring confidence in others
Currently possess a Secret Clearance (DoD)
Desired Skills:
Elevated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, general proficiency with Microsoft Office products
Excellent communication skills
Detailed oriented with ability to identify
Patriot System product knowledge experience
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements
Demonstrated ability to influence through teaming and collaboration
Required Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or related engineering disciplines.
