This position is responsible for overseeing the technical operation of the area.
Monitor the daily flow of work so that technical issues do not prevent goals from being met.
Calibrate units using test stands, through the use of oscilloscopes, multimeters and decade boxes.
Produce products as needed.
Review the accuracy and utility of documents used to produce “specials”, develop and produce additional work procedures as needed, and assist in “specials” product manufacture.
Provide timely and accurate information about production problems, equipment problems and yield issues to the manager, group leader and appropriate support groups.
Communicate with team members daily to resolve technical problems preventing efficient, orderly workflow.
Perform all other duties assigned.
ASEE, ASME or equivalent.
Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated effective analytic thinking and problem-solving skills.
Must have demonstrated an ability to handle effectively multiple tasks and competing demands.
Familiarity with word processing, e-mail and spreadsheet applications.
Must be highly self-motivated and have been effective in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
Must be able to read manufacturing documents and interpret engineering drawings
Familiarity in JIT and Lean manufacturing preferred.
