Job Summary:

Raytheon Missiles and Defense has a need for a 3rd shift Production Supervisor in the Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) Back End Process work center at its Andover, MA facility. This position has overall responsibility for the Advanced Rework, In Circuit Testing (ICT) and Conformal Coating operations team consisting of 15-20 employees. In this role you will lead the team in a fast paced and dynamic environment to ensure products meet contractual quality, cost, and delivery requirements by planning, organizing, and directing the flow of production. Responsible for a safe work environment and will actively lead and engage in safety improvement projects.

Requires daily interaction with other cross-business teams to maintain and meet organizational goals and objectives. These groups include manufacturing engineering, maintenance, production control, quality, finance and the program management office. Achieving/exceeding cost, quality, delivery, safety goals and identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities using six sigma and lean methodologies are critical performance criteria for this position.

Supports deployment of manufacturing operations strategy, control systems, tools and metrics to accurately measure progress, identify root causes of failure modes, production capacity, quality and staffing issues and develop/implement corrective action plans.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Execution of schedule and cost based on internal customer needs

  • Workforce planning and forecasting

  • Deployment and monitoring of resources for successful completion of tasks

  • Employee hiring and training

  • Time and attendance tracking

  • Predictive and preventative theory/methods

  • Capital identification and control of overhead expenses

  • Ensuring the enforcement of company policies and procedures

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a university degree and 5 years’ work experience in production / manufacturing / operations or similar environments or Associate degree and 7 years of experience or in the absence of the degree, 9 years or related experience is required.

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Value:

  • Experience in circuit card assembly

  • Previous experience supervising bargaining unit employees

  • Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering experience in the aerospace/defense industry

  • Experience working with Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Access)

  • Experience with Lean manufacturing and/or Six Sigma or other similar process improvement methodologies
