ICP Group Planning Coordinator in Andover, Massachusetts

Purpose & Scope:

The Planner ensures the accuracy and timeliness of the production process. They monitor material flow, identify bottlenecks, and must make sure that all products used are of high quality; if the items aren't of high enough quality, the planner must ensure they are properly disposed. The planner keeps up with demand, forecasts other company needs, ensures the company is ready to ship product at all times and identifies and resolves problems with inventory. This is a data - focused position, the right candidate for this position will be strong in MS Excel and enjoy working with large amounts of data from multiple sources.


  • Work with management in coordinating and planning production activities to improve runtime.

  • Plan production tasks and schedules according to customer orders.

  • Develop and review production plan with Managers for approval.

  • Monitor the execution of production plan and resolve any potential issues in a timely fashion.

  • Escalate complex issues to Manager for resolution.

  • Investigate production problem, analyze root causes, and provide solutions.

  • Communicate production status to Mangers and Customers on regular basis.

  • Analyze back orders, current orders, and upcoming orders to prioritize, plan, and schedule the production operations.

  • Plan equipment, material, and manpower requirements to execute job orders.

  • Coordinate with Managers in planning and implementing engineering changes in production lines.

  • Plan inventory management processes to avoid shortages and excesses.

  • Monitor production progress and ensure that final product meets quality standards and customer specifications.

  • Adhere to company standards and production policies to meet company objectives.

  • Analyze delays and interruptions and accordingly adjust production schedule to meet deadlines.

  • Maintain reports for production planning activities and sequences.

  • Other duties may be assigned.


  • Bachelor?s degree in an analytical field.

  • Experience in manufacturing, production management, logistics planning, or supporting manufacturing production planning process.

  • Computer software skills, including Microsoft Office.

  • Knowledge of forecasting, planning, production scheduling, and shipping functionality and processes.

  • Knowledge of the master data that drives forecasting, planning, production scheduling, and shipping functionality.

  • Knowledge of mathematics and statistical data analysis.
