Job Summary:

The Air Defense Systems (ADS) Department within the Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) Directorate is searching for a Section Leader to join our team. The ADS Department supports the Global Patriot Programs. As a Section Leader, the candidate will be expected to actively participate in ADS leadership team goals and initiatives, support department hiring, support program staffing, provide employee performance feedback and mentoring, and be actively involved in daily program operations.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Lead a diverse team of engineers

  • Establish meaningful and measurable goals and communicate effectively with the team

  • Oversee the direct line management activities for the section including communication, performance management, career development, and talent acquisition

  • Collaborate and communicate with other sections and teams

  • Collaborate and participate with other ADS leadership team members in initiatives

  • Ensure employee compliance with company policies and procedures

  • Oversight of personnel issue resolution

  • Timecard approvals

  • Provide support to the Department Leader and Directorate

  • Lead by example, adhere to and ensure alignment to Raytheon Technologies Values and Behaviors

  • Work as a technical lead or individual contributor; Section Leader duties account for approximately 10% of the employee’s time

Qualification You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)

  • Knowledge of the Performance Development process

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Eight (8) years of experience in systems, integration, verification and/or validation

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a matrix environment

  • An active Secret US security clearance

Qualifications We Value:

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a geographically dispersed team

  • Experience with EVMS (Earned Value Management System or similar budget tracking system)

  • Experience with Raytheon’s Proposal Capture Process (development of Basis of Estimates, etc)

  • Experience with the Estimate at Complete (EAC) process

  • Can effectively manage projects and a diverse team

  • Experience in implementing business and program improvements through process improvement methodologies

  • Applicable Master's degree

This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance.
