Job Summary:

Raytheon Missiles & Defense has an opening for a Demand Controller – 1shift in Operations’ Planning and Production Control organization. This role will provide Back End, Factory floor support on 1st shift for the Circuit Card Manufacturing factory in Andover, MA.

The successful candidate has working knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems in a manufacturing environment and utilizes data-driven decision making to enable effective planning and execution.

This role requires daily collaboration across a variety of functional and program areas through planning, coordinating, and execution tasks, as well as fact-based influence to maintain organizational goals and objectives. The individual in this role will need to quickly develop credibility and influence while leveraging strong interpersonal skills; aligning the execution plan to meet critical customer deadlines with supply chain strategies and financial targets.

They will foster a working environment that promotes safety, security, compliance, and quality while achieving overall customer requirements. Establishing, leading, and participating in continuous improvement projects within the value stream and at the RMD Operations level is also expected in this position.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • WIP Management

  • Complete work orders on time per MRP

  • Order replacement components for rework assemblies and monitor days at operation for PC-owned rework operations

  • Monitor buy-parts on rework orders and burndown over time

  • Process completions through delivery or induction to stock

  • Return residual material back to stock and monitor trends over time

  • Measure work order completion performance to MRP

  • Apply RFID labels to completed assemblies and support the material traceability process as needed

  • Inventory Accuracy

  • Monitor Closed with Opens (CWO) and reduce backlog over time

  • Monitor transient line flow locations (i.e. XMMA, TMP1) and burn down material over time​

  • Partner with Planners, Supply Controllers to expedite material at receipt, inspection, induction, and quarantine

  • Support monthly line flow audits

  • Special Processes

  • Support process improvement projects​ that align with our organizational goals

  • Support Depot and Customer Service Return processes as needed

    Qualifications You Must Have:

  • A University Degree and less than 2 years prior relevant experience or in the absence of the degree, 4 years of related experience is required

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

    Qualifications We Value:

  • MRP knowledge, SAP PRISM experience preferred

  • Experience in Material and Inventory Control-type systems such as Kanban, SMI, Continuous Flow Manufacturing

  • Experience utilizing lean manufacturing concepts

  • Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, Outlook, Skype, and Teams)

  • Self-starter who requires minimal supervision, works well with teammates and customers, and has a results-based mindset and proven track record of success

  • Knowledge of working across business areas and interface at all levels of organization

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate with various disciplines

  • Ability to multitask; well-organized and work well under pressure
