Job Title: Mechanical Technician - PAT Testing
Job Description
Oversee the Portable Appliance Testing for all corded equipment on site, including planning, scheduling, and executing appliance testing. The individual in this role must be available for on-call work. The position may also require other general maintenance and support duties as needed.
Responsibilities
Oversee the general operation, repair, and maintenance of building appliance testing and perform preventive maintenance.
Check malfunctioning equipment and put corrective actions in place.
Assist other departments in the maintenance and repair of heating and cooling valves, water cooling equipment, boilers, heating and hot water equipment, pumps, valves, piping, and filters.
Ensure that work is performed efficiently with minimal disruption and inconvenience.
Prioritize all preventive maintenance, corrective, and emergent work orders for the site on annual, monthly, weekly, and daily schedules.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment, identifying and remediating all Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) issues as they arise.
Comply with departmental policy for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
Complete all assigned training and comply with established training standards.
Ensure the availability of an adequate inventory of tools and other supplies to operate the building.
Perform periodic checks of inventory levels and equipment conditions.
Perform additional duties as requested, including vendor escorting as needed.
Essential Skills
Ability to work on roofs of buildings.
Completion of written documentation.
High school diploma required; College/Technical Degree preferred.
Proficiency in basic computer application software such as MS Office, Outlook, and Work Order System.
Experience in electrical, mechanical, and appliance testing.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in a biomedical facility.
Good interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
Prior knowledge of working within a GMP environment is a plus.
Familiarity with BMS and CMMS systems.
Skill and physical ability to operate electric hand tools, work on a ladder, carry tools, lift and carry heavy loads, and operate required equipment.
PAT Testing certification and basic maintenance and troubleshooting skills.

Work Environment
The working environment includes a pharmaceutical manufacturing and office location. Off-hours shifts, including evening, night, and weekend work, may be required. The position may also involve performing other general maintenance and support duties as needed.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Andover, Massachusetts.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00
