ManpowerGroup HVAC/R Technician in Andover, Massachusetts

Our client in the Biopharma industry is seeking an experienced HVAC Refrigeration Technician to join their team. As an HVAC/R Technician, you will be part of the Facilities Maintenance team supporting the assigned building in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in HVAC/refrigeration maintenance and troubleshooting, as well as multi-skilled in other areas such as pipe fitting/plumbing and electrical.

Location: Andover, MA

What's the Job?

  • Install, service, and repair refrigeration systems and equipment such as condensing units, compressors, and evaporators.

  • Connect refrigeration lines and electrical power sources, handle hazardous refrigerant substances, and check systems and equipment for leaks.

  • Use system blueprints or manufacturers' instructions to complete a job.

  • Install, inspect, maintain, and repair refrigeration equipment.

  • Test lines, components, and connections using electrical, mechanical test equipment.

  • Perform pre-start up checks on equipment and adjust as necessary.

  • Read complex blueprints, sketches, and schematics.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What's Needed?

  • Minimum 3 years experience working with HVAC/refrigeration mechanical systems.

  • Knowledge of OSHA standards and local codes.

  • Proficient with computer-based systems and programs, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.

  • Skilled and physically able to operate electric hand tools, work on a ladder, carry tools, lift and carry heavy loads, and operate required equipment.

  • Extensive knowledge of refrigeration systems.

  • Ability to climb ladders up to 40 feet and lift 50 lbs repeatedly.

  • Certification as a Universal Technician for CFCs (EPA 608 Universal).
