Opportunities for recent Engineering graduates exist within the Weapons and Platforms Center under System Integration and Test. Our teams are responsible for integration, verification, and test execution at all levels, both in the lab and in the field, for formal system verification and qualification, and associated analysis of test data.
Depending on the product, your experience, and your skill level, some example tasks could include:
Integration and test planning, as well as execution in our labs, or on the aircraft or ship platform
Troubleshooting and failure analysis, including root cause and corrective action analysis
Evaluate performance through data analysis
Building engineering hardware in the lab
Support test events, including flight test and field events, either in the US or internationally
Support qualification events
Prepare and present results in reports and briefings to internal or external stakeholders

Duties and Responsibilities can include:
Support integration and test strategy development, planning, and execution
Prepare system and subsystem test plans, procedures, and reports
Perform integration and test activities in laboratory or field locations
Troubleshooting and failure analysis, including advanced use of lab or field test equipment
Complete and compile detailed performance analysis, including the use of analysis tools such as MATLAB
Experience in troubleshooting electronics or software systems in an academic or internship setting
Technical problem solving skills
Experience in the use of data analysis tools (for example MATLAB)
Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Familiarity with Microsoft Office toolset (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Candidates must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program (or completed a degree no more than 18 months prior to start date) resulting in a Master’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline, such as Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Optical Engineering, Physics, or related engineering or science curriculum. ABET is the preferred, though not required, accreditation standard.
This position requires eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Engineering project, internship or co-op experience related to system testing, including planning, test execution, data collection and data analysis
Experience in developing and evaluating hardware and test requirements
Experience using laboratory equipment, electronics and software (such as: i.e oscilloscope, DMM, Spectrum analyzer, and logic analyzer)
Experience with failure analysis, root cause and corrective action processes
Understanding of interfaces (physical, electrical and logical) between components, units under test (UUT) and test platforms
Model based engineering and architecture
Cyber security, encryption, information assurance
Experience with programming in MATLAB, C/C++, Python, or other programming language
Experience with DOORS or a related database
Ability to pursue information (“self-starter”)
Authored Technical Papers and / or Technical Presentations
Active Secret clearance
Leadership or participation in college campus organizations, athletic teams, or community service groups
