SWCA Environmental Consultants Ecological Restoration Technician in Amherst, Massachusetts
About the opportunity
SWCA Environmental Consultants is looking for assistance with Spring 2021 work in our Ecological Restoration Group. This position will predominantly require work in the New Bedford, Massachusetts area and may require occasional travel in order to complete restoration projects throughout the Northeast.
What you will accomplish
Work in a team setting to complete restoration plantings
Effectively communicate with other project team members and follow instructions well
Implement and complete tasks and responsibilities delegated by Field Supervisors
Take positive action and accountability for assigned work
Experience and qualifications for success
Experience at working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential
Ability to effectively execute tasks is crucial
Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Strong interpersonal skills
Flexible during times of change
1-3 years direct work experience in a landscaping/construction capacity (desired)
OSHA 10 or 40 hour certification (desired)
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
Must hold a valid driver's license
