For candidates based in Connecticut, this position starts at \$26.10, up to \$28.42 per hour. Job Responsibilities: Properly troubleshoot and repair all equipment associated in the production, freezing, packaging, and hardening process, including, but not limited to pumps/motors, freezers, fillers, injectors, conveyors, banders, bundlers, hardening systems, palletizing systems, etc. in a timely manner with minimal supervision; Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment; Perform general maintenance duties as it relates to plant equipment and building; Properly perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, welding, and plumbing duties as required; Rebuild/replace equipment as needed, including but not limited to pumps, gear boxes, bearings, bushings, chains, bundler headers, conveyors, etc. Possess comprehension of all ice cream processing, freezing, packaging, refrigeration, and hardening equipment; Complete assigned work orders by their required due dates; Complete assigned housekeeping duties as required; Communicate to Maintenance Manager or Plant Manager of any condition that prevents the manufacture of product to established standards; Work in a safe manner, in compliance with Company, State and Federal GMP\'s, SOP\'s and company Policy and Procedures; Ability to work overtime, including weekends, holidays, and emergencies, as needed; Possess own tools necessary to perform the requirements of the position; Work effectively as part of a team and display a positive attitude; Obtain Hazmat Technician certification and work as a member of the local Hazmat Team; Other duties as assigned. SQF Requirements/Responsibilities: Support SQF by maintaining food safety and food quality through completing job tasks and maintaining the work area in a sanitary manner following prescribed procedures; Report food safety problems to a supervisor or manager; Maintain the preventative maintenance program. Education and Experience: Trade School Diploma or equivalent experience. Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability in industrial maintenance activities such as hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, electrical, mechanical and general manufacturing maintenance; Basic math and reading skills; Ability to work independently or in a group/team atmosphere; Good organizational and time management skills.
