• Previous experience operating CNC lathes and milling machines 2+ Familiarity with quality assurance processes, measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers), and inspection techniques.

• Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and machine setup sheets; understanding of CNC programming basics.

responsibilities:

• Operates, cleans, and maintains CNC machines and shop equipment as directed.

• Ensures parts meet specifications for customer satisfaction.

• Verifies settings by measuring workpiece specifications.

• Maintains specifications by:

• Observing operations like drilling, grooving, cutting, turning, facing, knurling, and thread chasing.

• Taking measurements and detecting malfunctions.

• Troubleshooting, adjusting, and reprogramming controls.

• Sharpening and replacing worn tools.

• Following quality assurance procedures.

• Adheres to production schedules and machine operations.

• Documents inspection, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and other data as directed.

• Stays updated through educational opportunities and technical publications.

• Suggests and seeks process improvements proactively.

• Participates in safety training, follows safety policies, and maintains a clean work area.

• Communicates with supervisors/managers, following work rules and company programs.

• Creates and/or reviews setup sheets to determine the best setup procedure, machining sequence, and quality requirements.
