Kforce Call Center Representative in Watertown, Massachusetts

Kforce has a client in Watertown, MA that is seeking 10 Call Center Representatives. They are looking to interview as soon as possible. These positions are 3-4 month contracts. There will be full-time and part-time hours available.Responsibilities:

  • Answers a high volume of inbound and outbound calls from patients

  • Confirms patient insurance verification and eligibility; obtains pre-authorization of services and/or referrals; assesses patient financial requirements and advises patients and families on insurance benefits, co-pays and financial obligations

  • Posts line items and adjustments to patient accounts; balances receipts, reconciles daily work batches and prepares audit trail; prepares deposits for bank as needed

  • Reviews Explanation of Benefits (EOB) for consistency

  • Submits files and processes all claims for payment; researches and resolves claim delay issues

  • Resolves patient questions and complaints regarding insurance billing and adjusts accounts as necessary; resubmits claims and processes all insurance/patient correspondence; provides all documentation to expedite payment

  • Follows-up on assigned accounts; uses collection techniques to keep accounts current including monitoring for delinquent payments

  • Sets-up financial arrangements with patients as necessary

  • As necessary, assists patients with researching and obtaining community resources including housing, transportation, drugs and pharmaceutical supplies, and financial resources

  • Experience in the health industry is required; customer service in a clinical setting is preferred

  • Able to work in a high volume, fast paced work environment and perform and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Keyboard and data entry skills required; computer experience is required with Microsoft Word, e-mail, and internet communication, as well as the ability to work effectively with electronic work quality monitoring and electronic systems

  • Bilingual is required

  • Ability to learn how to accurately identify the correct insurance payor out of the constantly changing insurance products, each with potentially multiple and differing contracts applies to the patient being registered

  • Must have the interpersonal skills to deal effectively, cordially and compassionately with a diverse group of patients, physicians, other staff personnel as well as outside hospitals, agencies and the general public

  • Must have strong customer service skills with the sensitivity and intuition to detect hidden stresses of problems with the ability to be resourceful and creative in their resolution; must maintain a high energy and positive outlook, as well as a calm an impartial response in dealing with a wide variety of complains, personalities, levels of stress, complicated situations, illness and urgent demands
