The position will drive the vision and direct the discovery and development for new healthcare solutions that expand Wolters Kluwer’s offering portfolio and create a pipeline that will enable the company to achieve future growth.
The VP of Product Innovation will lead a team of product managers, business analysts and developers whose responsibilities will be to stay deeply informed about healthcare market, explore adjacent and emerging market opportunities, define new potential offerings, develop partnerships, prove out concepts, and assess the commercial viability for horizon three investment options.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Achieve deep understand of complex business problems and create and prioritize healthcare product portfolio investment options that will drive new profitable growth
•Build and lead a team of product managers, developers and business analysts
•Work with key stakeholders to analyze market segments, develop product strategies, build out business cases and deliver working prototypes and proofs of concepts.
•Lead the creation and prioritization of functional and business requirements
•Cultivate client partnerships to explore new market opportunities and new product innovations
•Work with senior leadership and across multiple functions to make investment decisions and help define an optimal product portfolio pipeline
Qualifications: JOB QUALIFICATIONS
•Graduate MBA degree preferred
•Ten or more years of experience of successful in product management, product marketing and technology leadership
•Three or more years as a product executive within the healthcare sector
•Ten or more years of experience leading cross-functional teams, that include product managers, product marketers, business analysts, and developers.
•Proven visionary leadership
•Experience defining new market segments
•Proven track record of successful portfolio management and new product development.
•Experience establishing client partnerships and collaborating with development partners.
•Experience in agile development and lean prototyping; experience with Cloud, SaaS and new technologies, including AI
•Industry experience in the health care sector, particularly with work-flow integration and electronic medical record systems
•An understanding of and experience with clinical informatics

•Excellent analytical skills, including market research, competitive analysis, business planning and go-to-market
•Strong technical skills and solid understanding of key HIT concepts and trends.
•Excellent communication skills with ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, including with peers and senior management
•Ability to lead multiple projects and build collaborative relationships with internal, matrixed teams and external clients partners
