The Director of Solutions Marketing will work to ensure optimal delivery of Wolters Kluwer Health CE solutions to global markets, with lifecycle responsibility for the packaging and pricing of solutions from business case to inception to launch, through post-launch metrics and monitoring. This position will have primary responsibility for transparent, consistent and intuitive pricing reflective of the CE value proposition, and packaging aligned with market needs and customer buying behaviors.
The Director of Solutions Marketing will partner closely with market-facing teams including product management and sales to understand solution delivery requirements. In this capacity this individual will act as a market expert offering insights into geographical and healthcare segment dynamics.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Primary responsibility for solution packaging and pricing:
oPartner with finance to develop and launch pricing and packaging models that support the CE go to market strategy and value proposition
oPartner with finance to track pricing and packaging performance, optimizing as necessary
oDevelop pricing models and metrics that provide predictable, transparent and intuitive market pricing
oAlign packaging with customer buying patterns and market needs
oInform pricing and packaging models and strategies with competitive pricing intelligence and analysis
oManage primary and secondary market research to inform pricing and packaging strategy
oIdentify and implement opportunities for integrating and/or bundling solutions
oDevelop and apply metrics for assessing perceived market value of CE solutions
oDevelop and implement metrics for measuring and monitoring the efficacy of solutions portfolio packaging and pricing
oLead the launch of all solutions packaging and pricing
•Provide solutions packaging and pricing requirements on the basis of global healthcare market expertise including:
oSpecific healthcare industry segment trends
oGeographical market dynamics
oProduct positioning and value models
oCompetitive intelligence and analysis
oEvolving financial and reimbursement models
•Partner with back office teams to ensure that packaging and pricing strategies are translated into operational requirements
•Partner with corporate pricing team to operationalize pricing; evaluate exception requests; and support pricing “deal desk”
•Contribute to new solution development business cases, strategy and roadmap
•Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field (Master’s degree preferable), or equivalent
•10+ years of marketing experience including primary responsibility for product/solution pricing and packaging. Healthcare industry and solutions strategy experience preferred.
•Experience working with cross-functional teams to operationalize packaging and pricing
•Expertise in identifying data sources, gathering and analyzing data in support of packaging and pricing strategy
•Ability both to collaborate cross-functionally in support of shared initiatives, as well as work independently to execute individual goals and objectives
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to succinctly and effectively present analysis and recommendations to various internal and external audiences, including executive team members, customers and prospects
•Strong organization skills, ability to prioritize in the face of multiple project demands, staying focused on critical issues
•Up to 30% travel may be required
