National Grid Analyst, Energy Efficiency Evaluation in Waltham, Massachusetts
_About the Position:_
Be a part of a team that is responsible for supporting nationally recognized energy efficiency services efforts. National Grid's Strategic Business team is looking for an Analyst who will contribute to the evaluation, monitoring and verification of energy efficiency services, will help develop the strategy for energy efficiency services in the future, and will work with policymakers to deliver energy savings. This position is part of a highly motivated and active team that works closely with internal and external stakeholders, vendors and customers. The position focuses on energy efficiency in Rhode Island.
_Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):_
Manage evaluation studies including procurement of external consulting resources, oversight of study methodologies and execution, management of time and budgets, and review of study results.
Design evaluation studies which may include statistical requirements, sample design, survey design, process or implementation review, economic impacts, market assessments, engineering reviews, or energy savings potential.
Manage tracking and reporting for energy savings for a suite of energy efficiency programs, including analyzing program data and working with information services teams to maintain and enhance systems.
Plan future energy efficiency programs by collaborating with program managers, sales teams, marketing teams and external stakeholders; analyzing cost-effectiveness; analyzing large data sets; researching new technologies; incorporating customer or study feedback.
Participate in regulatory efforts related to energy efficiency approval including stakeholder meetings, technical sessions, hearings, preparing reports or information requests, preparing regulatory filings and plans.
Develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
_Knowledge & Experience Required:_
Master’s Degree or 2 years or more of professional experience in the related fields of energy efficiency, evaluation, sustainable energy or government.
Familiarity with the technical and/or economic aspects of energy efficiency is required.
Knowledge of energy efficiency program planning, design, implementation and evaluation, and/or local and national energy policy.
Strong analytical and organizational skills with an attention to detail.
Advanced skills in relevant software e.g. Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Strong oral and written communications skills.
Must have a valid driver’s license with safe driving history.
