Reliable Temps Extrusion Operator in Turners Falls, Massachusetts
TURNERS FALLS Reliable Temps is searching for Extrusion Operators to join their Night Shift. This position offers significant earning potential within the first year! Entry level candidates with a solid mechanical background are also encouraged to apply! Pay Rate: \$18-23/hr with \$2.50 shift differential 2nd Shift: 5pm-5am (work 15 days a month) Work: Monday & Tuesday Off: Wednesday & Thursday Work: Friday, Saturday, & Sunday Off: Monday & Tuesday Work: Wednesday & Thursday Off: Friday, Saturday, & Sunday Duties Performs duties in a manner that adheres to safety policies and procedures. Participate in the training curriculum as an operator learning aspects of plastic extrusion line operations while completing assigned duties required for certification Change plastic extruding machine, set up according to production line changes following specifications on work orders, and examine products for nonconformance to specifications Responsible for monitoring quality and accuracy of the line and scrap Perform housekeeping and preventative maintenance tasks as required to maintain equipment Set up plastic extrusion machines (shut-down, start-up, switchovers, order preparation, and production, of plastic extrusion lines). Responsible for raw materials (resin) by keeping extruder fed with resin mixture Maintain good interaction and teamwork with supervisor and co-workers Give assistance to co-workers to expedite changeovers Qualifications/Skills 1 year in manufacturing, technical field, or engineering preferred High school diploma or equivalent Ability to work with measuring tools such as tape measure, calipers, etc. Solid technical/mechanical aptitude Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen Focus on safety and quality production Basic computer knowledge Strong communication skills Positive attitude and a willingness to learn Benefits Upon Hire Over 401k Medical/Dental/Vision insurance Tuition reimbursement 2 weeks vacation within the first year Holiday pay Paid parental leave Voluntary overtime Performance-based bonus opportunities Job Location: Turners Falls, MA
